I love bangs. They are the best way to look younger, cuter, and sexier even if you are none of those things. They work on almost any face shape and bring focus to the eyes like no other hair style can. But there is a right and a wrong way to wear them for maximum effect:
- Eye makeup, eye makeup, eye makeup: If you have small or undefined eyes it is important that you at the very least wear mascara and ideally do a minimal lining of the eyes for this look. Concealor is also a must to hide any dark circles that will become very obvious with your new bangs.
- The longer your face, the longer the bangs: There is nothing worse than baby bangs on a woman with a large face. Think proportion: just below the eyebrows and below is a general one-size fits all length.
- Think versatility: If you don't want to have a traumatic growing-out period and want to be able to pin your bangs back in the heat or for work, have your bangs layered into the rest of your hair and opt for a heavier fringe (Rachel Bilson, Sienna Miller) as opposed to a wispier one (Halle Berry, Ellen Barkin)
- Don't forget your brows: Its easy to think you can skimp on grooming your brows when they are hiding beneath a cute little hair skirt. They are still there and you have to deal with them. Your brows will play peek-a-boo during the day so keep them clean and filled in.
So tell me....
